John with Evie, the recipient of an Harrelson Trumpet that was purchased for her as a result of the first annual Tastes and Trumpets concert, wine tasting, and silent auction event at Vino Vixens in November of 2008.

Individual silent auction donors collaborated to purchase this trumpet for Evie, an aspiring music educator and trumpet player who had never owned her own instrument and who was recommended through
Self Enhancement, Inc., a youth development organization.
