With the professional and dedicated assistance of Tiffany Stafford and the other trainers at lifeBODY Fitness, John trained for and competed in the Pacific Grove olympic-length Triathlon in 2007, and they are currently consulting him as he trains for the 2009 Portland Marathon. The Steve Hall Quintet has been a staple of Organ Jazz in the Portland Oregon area for the past 5 years. The groups sound is reminiscent of the Jazz Messengers and Horace Silver with a modern edge that will engage any audience. John Dover joined the group this Fall and has been enjoying this dynamic and creative group since.
The Pranksters Big Band
The Pranksters have been performing in the Portland and surrounding areas for everything from community events to Friday night swing dancing at the Norse Hall. John joined the Pranksters in the Spring of 2009 as the lead trumpet and soloist.
